We’ve evolved.
Thellesi Co. is now TCO Africa. And no, this isn’t just a cosmetic update. It’s a declaration. A sharpening. A coming into our full stride.
When we began as Thellesi twelve years ago, we were fuelled by purpose and urgency — to prove that African creativity didn’t have to imitate, didn’t have to ask for permission, didn’t have to translate itself to be taken seriously. We wanted to show that stories born from this soil — raw, real, and culturally attuned — could carry power in campaigns and reports and in people’s hearts and conversations. And for years, we did exactly that. We worked in communities and cabinet rooms, with Saccos, governments, NGOs, youth groups, and civil society coalitions. We were called in when the message mattered — when trust was fragile, or when the audience was complex and human. We listened deeply. We designed honestly. We moved people.
But the world has shifted. The continent is shifting, too. Old models are collapsing fast. Aid is shrinking. Public trust is wearing thin. Even the language of “impact” now feels worn out — bruised by too much performance and too little truth. In these times, we don’t need louder messages. We need a clearer meaning. We need communications that don’t just land, but live, long after the campaign ends.
That’s why we’ve evolved. TCO Africa isn’t a departure from who we were. It’s a deeper commitment to who we’ve always been — just said louder, clearer, bolder. You can read TCO as The Creative Option. Or Thellesi Creative Office. Or Trusted Communications Office. To us, it means all of those things — and more. It means stepping into our continental voice. It means building ideas that travel, but remain rooted. It means refusing to flatten ourselves to fit funding cycles, and instead insisting on strategies that honour culture, nuance, and context.
Because we are not just designers of campaigns. We are builders of trust. We are translators of complexity. We are protectors of truth. And we are, always, advocates for the people whose stories too often get lost between the report and the press release.
Our name has changed. But our heart remains the same — relentless, curious, and grounded in the belief that people matter. Those stories matter. That communication, done right, can still shift something real.
So here’s to the next chapter. The same fire, with a new fuel. Same heart. New name.
Welcome to TCO Africa.
Let’s get to work.
